Included in this lot is a W.H. Hamilton Belgian made 12 gauge side by side shotgun. This firearm utilizes two 32” Damascus steel barrels chambered in 12 gauge. The underside of these barrels feature the standard Belgian proof marks indicating gauge, provisional marks, bore diameter, black powder/ nitro, etc. The barrels are fully ribbed and are marked on the top “Fine Damascus – Belgian”. The shotgun features a walnut fore stock and pistol butt stock. The checkering has faded but the lines are still evident. W. H. Hamilton was located in New York City and was an importer of double barrelled shotguns made in Europe . He operated from about 1875 to 1885. The receiver shows a well done floral engraving in good condition. The receiver itself shows a nice gray patina. Serial Number: 1001. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
