Featured in this lot is this Custom Navajo style Yei Be Chei rug/ runner. The rug features a wonderfully and professionally wool blend construction that was custom made for the consignor and shows the style of a Yei Be Chei with some Klagetoh roots to this fine runner with a grey field that shows black, red, and yellow depictions of two Yei figures and a border of off white, and red. The decoration includes arrows with fletching and forked areas likened to navigational runic designs. The condition of this Navajo style runner is preserved with some natural wear to the weave due to age and use but otherwise shows a preserved condition. The measurements of this runner is 143 3/4" x 37". The thread count is 165 threads per square inch. The rug is in the style and pattern of similar Navajo rugs, but is only the style, not Navajo made.
