Included in this lot is an original Dau-Law-Taine, canvas Kiowa painting on canvas, circa 2020. Darwin Tsoodle Kiowa (Dau-Law-Taine) is a Native American artist who was born in Anadarko, Oklahoma and is known for his depictions of Native American Braves on horseback. This canvas shows a Native man alongside a white buffalo and six shadowed tipis at the bottom of the canvas. The Native man is shown holding a dancing wand in his right hand and a decorated beaded sash in his left. The man is also wearing a large colorful headdress with six large feathers. The Native is wearing a colorful shirt that displays blue and yellow circles, along with silhouettes of buffalo and a Native American with a spear riding on horseback. The background of the canvas displays a yellow moon and colorful spots of blue, black, red, green, yellow, purple, and orange, encompassing the entire background of the canvas. The art shows wonderful use of color and excellent style. The piece is signed in the bottom right hand corner, reading "Dau-Law-Taine Kiowa copyright 2020”. The back of the canvas is painted a teal color. The artwork is in pristine condition, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements are 32" x 3 1/2" x 26".
