Featured in this lot is this framed, limited edition Bald Eagle print titled, "Eye of the Eagle", done by Denton Lund. This is a limited edition print numbered 11 out of 950. Denton Lund served with the United States Navy as a young man, after his service, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in New York City and went on to receive his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. He was a successful commercial illustrator and graphic artist in New York City, but it wasn't until he relocated to New Mexico that he realized his passion of painting. This print is titled, "Eye of the Eagle" and shows a collage type scene of over-lapping bald eagles. Two look like they are getting ready to take flight, while the bottom shows a close up of an eagles face. The bottom is marked reading, "Denton / 11/950". It has been matted once with light blue / gray matting paper. It shows good condition overall with no wear or damage present to the print and slight wear present to the frame. The visible print measures 25" L x 19" W, while the entire piece measures 32 1/2" L x 26 1/4" W x 1 1/2" D. It has a total weight of 9 pounds and 2 ounces.
