For your consideration are these two rare German Nazi books,"Deutschland Erwacht" and "Adolph Hitler" , copy written in 1933 and 1936 respectively. Both books were published by German tobacco company, Cigaretten-Bilderdienst, in Altona-Bahrenfeld. The company published blank text books and sets of photos for the books, marketed as promotion for their cigarettes and tobacco products. The photos were obtained by the consumer as tobacco premiums and could be pasted into the books by consumers as they were obtained. The photos in these volumes are high quality halftone prints with white borders, varnished as to look like actual photographs. The books are numbers 8 and 15 in the series of Third Reich books that the tobacco company produced. Both books are in good condition for their age, having no ripped or missing pages; though neither lays flat--=the covers seem warped. Both books are complete with excellent pictures and bright, clean text, and both books have tight bindings with acceptable dust jackets. Each book measures about 9.5" x 12.5".
