Featured in this lot is this rare 1918, second edition copy of “The Discovery of Yellowstone Park 1870" by Nathaniel Pitt Langford. The book was published by J.E. Haynes in 1923. The book tells the story of the Washburn Expedition in 1870 and features many illustrations, photos, and maps. The book was written by N.P. Langford, who was the diarist for the expedition and the first superintendent of Yellowstone. The condition of this second edition book is good, with obvious signs of damage and slight browning to pages consistent with age; it is protected by a dust cover. The measurements of this book are 6 3/4" x 5 1/8".
