Featured in this lot is this limited edition print done by renowned artist Donald Vann in 1988 titled, "Leaving The Smokies". This limited edition print is numbered 1,501 out of 1,800. Donald Vann, a Cherokee artist from Oklahoma, is known for his detailed landscapes featuring Native American subjects. Vann uses gentle lines and colors to represent his tribe's traditions and culture. He has shown his work in the United States and overseas, receiving various accolades for his mystical paintings. This print shows a trail of Native Americans riding horses and walking through the harsh winter weather as they locate to a new spot. The piece is signed in the bottom left in pencil reading, "Donald Vann 1501/1800", while the bottom right hand corner reads, "Vann '88 ©". The piece has been double matted with light blue and light pink matting paper and sits in a wood frame behind glass to preserve its condition. The artwork measures 22 3/4" L x 13 5/8" W, while the entire piece measures 34 3/4" L x 24 3/4" W x 1 1/2" D. It weighs 9 pounds and 8 ounces.
