The lot features an excellent gun store mercantile trade sign of a large oversized double barrel shotgun. This sign was used as a trade stimulator and would hang outside the store to attract customers and act as a advertising sign. The piece shows a wooden stock, trigger, trigger guard, and hammers. The barrels show metal construction and are painted with a bronze finish. The trade sign shows massive size and is in fair condition overall with some damage to the stock and wear across the piece. The piece dates to circa 1890-1900’s. The sign measures 85" long by 8 1/2" at the widest.
