For your consideration is this collection of early Native American trade knives originating from the late 1800's to the early 1900's. This collection consists of five trade knives: one Herter's trade knife with the other four unmarked. The knives show steel blades with one piece oak and other hard wood grips. The Herter's shows a multi-use trade knife with the unmarked knives showing traditional skinning knife construction. The condition of this collection of American Indian trade knives is good with slight patina adorning the brass tacks and slight oxidation adorning the face of the blades. The measurements of these knives range from 9 1/2" x 1" to 12 1/2" x 1 1/2".
