The lot features an exceptional set of early Vaquero spurs showing a double-mounted silver and heavy iron construction and dating to the late 19th Century to early 20th Century. These 1800-1900 spurs utilize excellent eight-point rowels, leather spur straps, and an ornate silver double-mounting. The spurs are finished with ornate matched silver mounting on a round button on the outside. The spurs originate from the 19th Century to early 20th Century and are truly a wonderful representation of early Mexican Vaquero Cowboy spurs. The shank shows a figure-eight coiled rattle snake design with double-mounted etched silver holding the eight-point beveled rowels. Each side of the spur shows a double-silver mounted Chevron design with arrow like parallel lines. These finely decorated Mexican spurs offered are similar in quality to the Beveled Band Mexican Spurs that sold for $2,500 at Brian Lebel
