Featured in this lot is a gorgeous Navajo Sleeping Beauty Turquoise and Sterling Silver ring. The piece features a beautiful turquoise nugget set on a sand cast silver cuff. This ring is in good condition and is a size 9 1/4 (U.S.). The Navajo began working silver in the 19th century. Atsidi Sani (c. 1828-1918), who may have been the first Navajo blacksmith and considered the first Navajo silversmith, acquired the trade from a Mexican smith c.1853.
