This lot features a unique hand carved Hopi Native American Indian hand carved kachina doll. The kachina shows impressive size, and is carved of cottonwood. The wolf kachina represents the hunter, using his knowledge to find and capture game animals. This piece shows a long snout, typical Hopi garb, and horse hair draping off the back of his head. The kachina originates from the late 1800's, or early 1900's, and shows good condition overall, though it does show some repair. The kachina measures 19 7/8" tall, 7 1/4" wide, and approximately 8" deep.
