Included in this lot for auction is a hand carved Hopi Native American Indian kachina doll, originating from the 1950's. The doll shows a polychrome paint job and is carved from a solid piece of cottonwood. The doll is signed on the bottom, and is marked "1968". The kachina shows a viscous wolves head, with a mouth full of tenacious teeth. Additionally, the head of the kachina is wrapped in fur. The doll shows typical Hopi garb, and is adorned with a tanned hide fringe belt. The kachina shows good condition overall. The doll measures 13" tall, 5 3/8" wide, and 4 1/2" deep.
