Available in this lot is a early Marlin Model 1893 Lever-Action rifle, chambered in .30-30. The rifle utilizes a 26" full octagon barrel, crescent steel butt-plate, rear buckhorn rear sight, paired with a fixed front sight, walnut fixtures, and a nickel finish. The rifle reads "Marlin Fire-Arms CO. New Haven. CT, U.S.A. - Patented, OCT. 11. 1887. APRIL 2. 1889. AUGUST 1. 1893", on the top of the barrel, "Special Smokeless Steel" on the left side of the barrel, "Marlin Safety" on the top of the receiver, and showing the serial number on the lower tang. Overall, the rifle shows good condition, with a nice patina to the finish, and nice walnut fixtures with some handling marks. The action is smooth, and strong rifling. Serial Number: 345864. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic Long Gun, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
