For your consideration is an Athabascan 'Alaska' beaded sealskin wall hanging from the early-mid 1900's. This unique piece features glass trade seed beads with colors being chalk white, sky blue, pea green, black, semi-transparent yellow, grey, and red-white heart. These beads are decorated in a floral design throughout the wall hanging, and surround the outer edge of it. The chalk white beads form 'ALASKA' at the top of the piece. There is a pouch that includes a rose cloth lining. The bottom half of the piece features sealskin with a star-beaded design. This piece is in good condition for its age, with some tears on the sealskin and the orange cloth at the top. This piece measures 10" long by 6 1/4" wide.
