Featured in this lot we have a Missippian Moundville hand carved snaked effigy pipe. The pipe displays hardened clay construction with hand carved snake design. The tip of the pipe is carved to look like a snake head with the pipe bowl resting on the neck. The pipe stem is curved in a slight "S" shape. The piece is believed to be from 600-1500 A.D. Comes from a Montana collection. The pipe measures 7" long by 2" tall with the bowl opening measuring 7/8" in diameter.
