For your bidding pleasure in this lot is a large, fully beaded, pictorial Story Teller panel. The piece is from a Yoruba Chief' or elder's with a nice older age. The panel is edged with Cowrie shells and backed in a natural cotton cloth. The panel shows from top to bottom, a mermaid, a woman with a baby on her back, a man with a basket on his head, and another woman with a baby on her back. The top of the panel has a sky blue beaded loop. The panel has a green seed bead background, with the figuares done in red-brown, black, yellow, dark blue, sky blue, green and white beads. The panel measures 7 1/4" x 65" and is very thick and sturdy. This panel is in good condition, showing no obvious signs of damage.
