For bidding in this lot is a finely sporterized version of the US made Eddystone Enfield Model 1917, chambered in .30-06 Springfield. Remington and Eddystone (a subsidiary of Remington set up principally to manufacture the P14) began to manufacture this model when the US entered the war in 1917. This example features a Bushnell 3x-9x scope, 5-round stripper fed magazine, sporterized walnut stock, and contrasted by an exceptional 24" blue'd barrel. The rifle is marked "U.S Model of 1917 Eddystone" on the receiver. This rifle shows good condition. The markings and stampings have been filled off of the barrel and there are light handling marks to the walnut fixtures. The rifle also shows a tight action, and a good bore, showing strong rifling with some darkness. Serial Number: 982128. This rifle qualifies as a Curio & Relic Long Gun, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS. Background Check.
