The case hardening on the receiver has faded over the years. The barrel is marked "The Marlin Firearms Corporation - New Haven Conn. U.S.A. Patented" on the top and " 22 S - L & L. R" on the left. The fore grip is checkered with a traditional diamond pattern and the pistol grip on the stock showcases a lovely detailed checkering. The action is smooth and the bore is in good condition with sharp rifling. Serial Number: S5699.
