Featured in this lot is an original oil painting from artist Edwin Willard Deming who was born in 1860 and died in 1942. The painting features a wonderfully and professionally crafted oil on board construction that features a Native American man riding a horse leading two other horses behind with a clear sky above and an open plains in front and behind the trio running through the plains. The artist's signature can be seen in the bottom left hand corner. Edwin Willard Deming (1860–1942) was an artist in the US who depicted scenes of Indigenous tribe members. He was a painter, illustrator, and sculptor. One of his murals was adapted for use on U.S. postage. Deming traveled with fellow artist DeCost Smith in 1890. The condition of this original oil painting is good with a slight warp in the frame but otherwise shows good overall condition. The measurements of this oil painting is 54" x 77 3/4" and the visible art measures 47 3/4" x 71".*
