Featured in this lot is a framed lithograph of a canyon by artist Thomas Moran who was born in 1837 and died in 1926. The artwork features a wonderfully and professionally crafted lithograph construction that shows a canyon scene with a large butte on the right side and shows a valley with a river flowing through it. The artist signature is on the bottom along with the date underneath the signature. The frame is a reclaimed frame. Thomas Moran was an American painter and printmaker of the Hudson River School in New York whose work often featured the Rocky Mountains. Moran and his family, including his wife, Mary Nimmo Moran, and their daughter, Ruth, took residence in New York where he obtained work as an artist. The condition of this lithograph is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this lithograph is 27 1/8" x 35 1/4" and the visible art measures 22 1/4" x 30 1/2".*
