The placemats feature images of four iconic firearms that defined the military conflicts, economic shifts, and commercial expansion of the 19th-century American frontier: Sharp's Buffalo Gun, Model 1874; the U. S. Army Springfield Carbine M1873; the 1894 Winchester 30-30 and the Wells Fargo Coach 12 ga. shotgun. The placemats have knotted fringe on the ends. The El Paso Saddleblanket Company, established in 1970 by Dusty and Bonnie Henson as a traveling trading post on Route 66, is a legendary supplier of authentic, heavy hand-woven Southwestern textiles, camp blankets, and saddle blankets, as well as western-themed rustic decor.
