Featured in this lot is this elegant AAA+ tanzanite and VS2 diamond platinum ring with AIGL and GIA paperwork. The ring features a wonderfully and professionally crafted polished, stamped, and tested, platinum construction that shows a center stone of oval cut tanzanite with measurements of 13.78 x 11.50 x 9.09mm that shows a bluish violet color with a total weight of 10.71 carats. Tanzanite Is a very rare precious gemstone that is only found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967 by Tiffany & Company who named the stone Tanzanite. Tanzantite is unique due to its exceptional pleochroism (an optical phenomenon in which a stone has different colors when observed at different angles). This example is a nearly flawless eye clarity and unbelievable depth with transparent finish. The center stone and set shoulders are decorated with a total of 146 round brilliant cut diamonds with measurements of 1 - 2.2mm and shows a clarity of VS2 - SI1 and a coloration of F - G with a total diamond weight of 2.05 carats. The ring size is US 7 1/2.
