Featured in this lot is a Markham King No. 17 breech loaded air rifle circa 1922 and was interred in the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. The BB gun features a wonderfully and professionally crafted metal and wooden construction that shows a break top breech load air compressing system of receiver and is applicable with either BB or Dart. The air rifle is marked as follows: King - Breech Loader Shot or Dart - No. 17 - The Markham Air Rifle Co. Plymouth, Mich. U.S.A. - Pat. June 13, 1922 - Trade Mark Reg. U.S. Patent Office. The condition of this BB gun is well preserved with some patina to the metal receiver and barrel with some slight wear to the wooden stock but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of this BB gun are 31" x 5" x 1". The collective weight of this BB gun is 1lb 12oz.*
