The lot features an unusual hand crafted dagger knife in the very primitive/ crude shape of a traditional Moro Kris. The Kris is a traditional weapon featuring a distinctive wavy blade and integrated guard. This example shows a curved one piece solid wood handle, which is painted black and shows a carved snake head pommel end with red, slightly open mouth and inlaid stone-like eyes (material unknown likely plastic). The blade has been pounded along the flat surface to give a wavy-like appearance; the metal has a linear stretched-like finish and signs of folds and slight thicker spin at the guard, which immediately becomes thin. The piece’s age is unknown but thought to be vintage, at the least. Measures 11” L.
