For your consideration are four, limited edition brass buckles of Utah, presented by First Security Corporation in 1978. Each buckle comes in a rawhide pouch with a pamphlet on what the buckle is showing and a numbered registration certification corresponding with the number on the buckle. The first and second in this lot are identical and are titled, "The Golden Spike Buckle" and shows the driving of the golden spike at Promontory Point on May 10th, 1869, signifying the joining of the transcontinental railroad system. They show two trains facing each other with a railroad spike set in between them. The top reads, "Utah" and the bottom reads, "Golden Spike 1869". The backs are marked reading, "First Security Corporation 1928-1978 / Utah and Idaho / BT-0149" and "First Security Corporation 1928-1978 / Utah and Idaho / BT-0147". The third buckle in this lot is titled, "The Utah State Seal Buckle" and is a tribute to Utah and its people, commissioned by First Security Corporation. It shows the seal in the center and reads at the top, "Utah" and the bottom "1896". The back reads, "First Security Corporation 1928-1978 / Utah and Idaho / BS-0147". The fourth and final buckle is titled, "The Mormon Temple Buckle" and shows the world famous Salt Lake Mormon Temple, built from 1853-1893. It shows the temple in the center of the buckle with the top reading, "Utah" and the bottom reading, "Mormon Temple". Each show good condition overall with little to no wear present and no signs of damage noted. They measure 2 5/8" L x 3 3/8" W x 3/8" D and have a collective weight of 1 pound and 8 ounces.
