Featured in this lot is a folk art owl cast iron rod andirons, circa 1950s. The andirons feature a wonderfully and professionally crafted cast iron construction that shows welded square rod frames with owl figures added to the face of the andirons in a perched position. The andiron is marked on the back of the face '144'. The condition of this pair of andirons is good with some soot stains from use and oxidation and patina due to age and use, but otherwise they show good overall condition. The measurements of this pair of andirons are 13" x 8" x 16 1/2". The collective weight of these andirons is 11lb 14oz.*
