Featured in this lot are two early photos of a group of men in Prescott, Arizona and a group of people at the Four Mile House Michael Waldorf Prop., in the early 1880s to late 1890s. The first photo showing a gathering of men in Prescott, Arizona, was taken by Mitchel & Baer Portrait and Landscape Photographers, in Prescott, Arizona. It shows a large group of men standing and sitting around a large wagon as they pose for the photo. They are well dressed, all sporting hats and have two dogs sitting in front of the group. The back of the photo is marked reading, "Capitol Art Gallery / Prescott, Arizona / Mitchell & Baer, Portrait and Landscape Photographers". The second photo shows a group of men on the steps of Michael Waldorf's Four Mile House property in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. The group is sitting and standing and a woman leans on one of the porch posts, while two dogs sit on the ground in front of the group. The back is marked with pencil reading, "Found In Lake Desolation, NY Area". This photo shows no studio mark or photographer mark. Both of the photos show good condition overall with wear present from their age and use over the years, creases and slight rips are present. No major signs of damage is noted. They measure 5 1/8" L x 8 1/2" W and have a collective weight of under 6 ounces. Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. P163 P165
