Featured in this lot is this Frank Vela Saddlery western stock saddle circa 1950's. This western saddle features a wonderfully and professionally crafted full leather construction that features a beautifully basket weave tooling with floral accent decorations. The saddle makers mark is seen on the seat and shows a Cheyenne roll seat back. The horse is quite large with a flare to the front and shows an 'A' frame fork with sleek swells. Frank Vela was an Internationally Renowned Master Saddle Maker. Vela Built Custom Saddles Between 1920 and 1954. Considered One of the Best Saddle Makers of His Time. The condition of this saddle is good with wear consistent with age and use and shows some weathering to the leather and some wear to the wool lining the bottom of the saddle but otherwise is in good overall condition. The measurements of this saddle are 34" x 18" x 24" and the seat measures 13 1/2".
