Featured in this lot is this Franklin Mint "Talisman" ceremonial dag knife. The knife features a broad double edge dag knife blade with a gilt trim and Morenci turquoise set into the hilt and pommel of the knife and Dry creek turquoise set into the handle. There are numerous red branch coral cabochon set into the handle and pommel of the knife. There is a gilt bear claw hanging from the pommel with numerous tassels of feather decorum dangling from the hilt and the pommel of this knife. This knife is shown in a hard wood display case. Sought after worldwide for his on-of-a-kind creations, Sid Birt is a master of crafting knives as works of art. He is a member of the Knife Maker's Guild and was presented with the Best Knife Maker Award at the 1982 New York Knife Show. He also received the highly prized Beretta Award at the 1986 Dallas Knife Show. The condition of this dag knife is good with no obvious signs of damage to the knife or the display case and in good overall display condition.
