Featured in this lot is this bronze sculpture called "Bronco Buster" by American artist, Frederic Remington, who was born in 1861 and died in 1909 and is from an authorized foundry No. 68/100 and is signed 'Frederic Remington. The sculpture is considered an "After Remington" and features a cowboy riding a rank bronco wearing cow puncher batwing chaps. The Bronco Buster (also spelled "Broncho Buster" per convention at the time of sculpting) is a sculpture made of bronze and originally copyrighted in 1895 by American artist, Frederic Remington. Frederic Sackrider Remington was an American painter, illustrator, sculptor, and writer who specialized in the genre of Western American Art. His works are known for depicting the Western United States in the last quarter of the 19th century and featuring such images as cowboys, American Indians, and the US Cavalry. The condition of this Fredric Remington bronze is well preserved showing the quirt missing from the cowboys hand but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of this bronze is 22 3/4" x 9" x 18". The collective weight of this bronze is 54lbs.
