For your consideration is this RARE Frederic Remington's "Artist's Proofs; Six Remington Paintings in Colors" portfolio published in 1894. The portfolio includes six lithographs of Remington's paintings "The Gathering of the Trappers"(2), "The Emigrants", "An Argument with the Town Marshal", "Pony tracks in the Buffalo Trail" and "The Buffalo Runners". The set is missing "The Bell Mare" but contains two of the "The Gathering of the Trappers". Each of the lithographs is marked "Copyright 1894 by P.F. Collier & Son". Frederic Remington is perhaps the greatest Western artist in history. His original works of art easily command a sale price of more than $500,000. These RARE lithographs were made during Remington's lifetime at the height of his career and show good overall condition. The measurements of this 23 3/4" x 18" of this artist proof book.
