The lot features a German lever lock (leverlock) switchbalde automatic knife with Damascus Blade and dyed animal bone. The handmade knife features a folded forged high carbon steel and nickel carbon folded twisted Damascus blade in a dagger double grind pattern. The switchblade shows a highly polished nickel brass bolster, pommel and bolster lining which is accented by the beauitful blue dyed animal bone. The grip scales show brass pins. The handle spine or spring frame shows an artful hand etched vine file work. The knife functions as a traditional German lever lock, showing a folding lever button which when pulled down and pressed releases the blade immediately thrusting it forward and then locking into active position. The knife has a strong function. The blade then can be closed by pressing the same lever and pulling the blade into place at which point the lever will "lock" the blade back into place. The piece shows a wonderful artful handmade quality and displays excellently. Measures when open 9" long with the blade being 4" long. When closed the knife measures 5" long.
