Featured in this lot is are six various glass bottles found on the premises of Pete Spence's house, more specifically near his outhouse. They were dug up by professional digger Scott Given in 2007. Pete Spence was known to run with the Clanton Gang and was also invloved in Morgan Earp's death. Pete's house was situated just across the street from Virgil Earp's house and Pete's wife was actually good friends with Allie Earp, Virgil's wife. Two large, unmarked brown whiskey bottles were found, a small unmarked inkwell, and three smaller bottles presumed to be chemical bottles. One of the chemical bottles is marked reading, "Acid Nitric HNO2". The bottles show good condition overall with wear present from their age and life underground, but no major signs of damage noted. They measure from 4 3/4" L x 4 3/4" W x 13" H to 2 1/2" L x 2 1/2" W x 2 1/2" H. They have a collective weight of 5 pounds. Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. LO47
