Featured in this lot we have a Globe-Wernicke Co. QuarterSawn Oak Barrister Cabinet. The Globe-Wernicke Company was formed as a result of the Cincinnati based Globe Files Company (est. in 1882) purchasing the Minneapolis based Wernicke Company, founded in 1893 by Otto Wernicke, in 1899. The company is best known for their high-end bookcases, desks, and other office furniture. This Barrister is in pristine display condition showing no damage to the cabinet and the carpentry and design is of the highest value. This is a four section barrister with six total pieces including the crown and the base of the cabinet. This cabinet consists of four sections 198 pieces. The barrister is constructed from quarter sawed oak, furnished with a light brown wax finish with brass hardware. Each of the sections come with their original paper tags in the back. This Globe-Wernicke sectional barrister bookcase is in wonderful condition exhibiting a slight patina indicative of age, it's believed to be sporting original glass and internals. This cabinet measures 62 1/2" tall by 34" wide and 10 3/4" deep.
