Featured in this lot is this lithograph called "Calling on Neighbors," by Gordon Phillips born 1927 and died 2011. The lithograph shows a wonderfully and professionally crafted design that shows a family in a wagon with two out riders driving along a hillside on a winter day. Gordon Phillips was born in 1927 in Boone, North Carolina. He studied at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C. and became an illustrator and sculptor of conventional, realistically detailed Western subject matter. Long a commercial artist, Phillips was art director for an advertising agency, placing work in national magazines. He later devoted himself to becoming a fine artist. The condition of this framed lithograph is good with no obvious signs of damage and in good overall condition. The measurements of this framed lithograph are 22 5/8" x 24 1/2" and the visible art measures 17 1/2" x 19 1/2".
