For your consideration is this Graham Cave, flint blade, dated from 10,000 - 7,500 B.P. This point shows a beautiful, large, side notched point with a flattened cross section the blade is long and narrow and shows a very slight excurvate form to the blade. This is a serrated blade and the parallel notches are deep and low on the blade, forming shoulders that are horizontal and have an upward slope. The stem is expanding, with a concave base and heavy basal grinding. This point was manufactured, using broad, random percussion flaking and pressure flaking used for trimming to smooth the blade. The material used to construct this blade is a grey and cream flint material. The measurements of this Graham Cave spear point are 5 1/2" x 1 /4". This is one of the finest points to pass through this auction house.
