For your consideration in this lot is a first edition of “Wild Life on the Plains and the Horrors of Indian Warfare” published in 1891. The book provides riveting testimonies and accounts from the Western Frontier in the mid- to late-1800's. As settlers moved west, conflicts with the Native Americans became unavoidable, such as the Battle of the Little Bighorn. The book features a wonderfully decorated, gilt cover and is superbly illustrated, as well. The book is in fair condition, overall, with wear indicative of age. The piece measures 9 1/4" tall by 6" wide and 2" thick.
