Featured in this lot is this 10 x 36 Gros Louis Canadian wooden snow shoes. These shoes are made of a light wood and sinew with leather wrapping. The snow shoes are marked as follows: 10 x 36 - Gros Louis Snow shoes - Fait Au Canada - Made in Canada. The snow shoes originates from the 1900's. The snow shoes show wonderful craftsmanship with a wonderful symmetrical weave making the base. The condition of this pair of snow shoes is poor with a hole in the front section of the snow shoes and the other snow shoe features the whole front section missing. The measurements of of these snow shoes are 36" x 10" x 2 1/2".
