For your consideration is this Henry Buehman studio photo of three men taken in Tucson, Arizona Territory, late 1880s to early 1900s. Henry Buehman was a German-born American photographer and politician. After finishing his apprenticeship, Buehman moved to the American West, where he worked and traveled before settling in Tucson, Arizona Territory. There, he bought a portrait studio and built a profitable photography business. Buehman's frequent treks to the surrounding locations allowed him to build a huge portfolio of scenic and Native American images in addition to his portrait work. His success as a photographer led to opportunities in other sectors, and Buehman eventually became Tucson's mayor from 1895 to 1899. Buehman died of pneumonia on December 19, 1912.
