Included in this lot is a framed woodblock print by Henry Gilbert Foote, titled "Rancho de Taos". Henry Gilbert Foote (1896-1986) was an American artist known for his landscapes and impressionistic style. The print displays a traditional adobe style house with two figures standing in the front. The New Mexican home displays blue trim windows, rain gutters, and a small garden of corn in the front. The piece is signed in the bottom left hand corner, reading "Ranchos de Taos H. Gilbert Foote". The print is set into a custom wood frame with a tan border around the art and four lines of color in the border. Provenance: From the renowned Sundog Fine Art Bozeman, Montana collection and collected by Bruce VanLandingham. Bruce VanLandingham was a pillar in the American Indian collecting community and a respected expert. Along with being an avid collector, Bruce also was the sole owner of Sundog Fine Art Gallery in Bozeman, which was both part museum and gallery. The print shows good condition overall, with some light wear across the frame. The frame measures 19 1/2" wide by 19 1/4" tall, with the art measuring 9" wide by 8 1/2" tall.
