Archie Blackowl was a Cheyenne painter from Oklahoma who played a pivotal role in mid-20th century Native American art. Harvey Phillip Pratt is a Cheyenne artist (born 1941) is an American forensic artist and Native American artist, who has worked for over forty years in law enforcement, completing thousands of composite drawings and hundreds of soft tissue postmortem reconstruction. He worked on cases such as The Oklahoma City Bombing, the '93 World Trade Center Bombing, and helped with the Whitey Bulger case. This gouache shows wonderful coloring with a blue background and very life like features of this iconic Native American artist and his wife.
