The lot features a framed set of two original 19th Century photographs of the Haida Native American Indians in Kasaan, Alaska. The photographs show an early black and white sepia like coloring with the bottom having a Haida Indian sporting a bowler hat standing next to a large Haida whale totem carving. The top images shows a lodge or dweling surroudned by five towering totem carved poles. Both images are wonderfully framed. The back of the frame is marked "KASAAN". Visible image area is 4.5"x3.25" on the bottom and 2.75"x4.5" on the top. The frame is 9.5"x11.75".
