For your consideration is this Haida wood carved face feast bowl circa 1900's. This bowl shows really good hand carved craftsmanship with geometric patterns to the outside walls of the feast bowl and a Haida Face effigy carved into the bottom of the bowl. Haida are a nation and ethnic group native to, or otherwise associated with, Haida Gwaii meaning "Coming out of concealment" or sometimes "island of the People", and the Haida language. The Haida are known for their craftsmanship, trading skills, and seamanship. The condition of this feast bowl is good with a small chip out of the handle of the bowl but in good overall condition. The measurements of of this caved bowl are 3" x 13" x 10 1/4".
