Featured in this lot we have a Hamilton Rifle Model 15 breech loading single shot rifle chambered in .22 LR. This rifle was manufactured in Plymouth, Mich in the early 1900's by the Hamilton Rifle Company with the first patent filed in 1900 and the first of the models introduced in 1902. This rifle displays a breech loading design with a lever action to open up the breech. It features a unique 8" barrel and 8 3/4" long firing pin. The rifle only has a 8-inch long barrel which classifies it as a Short Barrel Rifle or SBR but is on the NFA Exception list. The rifle shows a metal frame, breech lever, detachable hardwood stock, takedown pin, adjustable rear sight, and pull action pin. The rifle is marked across the left side reading "THE HAMILTON RIFLE No. 15 22 CAL. MFG'D BY THE HAMILTON RIFLE CO. OF PLYMOTH MICH. U.S.A. PATENTED OCT. 30TH AND NOV. 20TH 1900 OTHERS PENDING". The Mechanically this rifle shows good working order with functional firing pin. From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. The rifle shows good condition for its age with a warm patina across the metal with the wood stock showing a nice clear finish. The piece weighs 1lbs 10oz. Serial Number: NSN.
