For your consideration is a hand carved and painted horse head and hoof walking stick. This primitively crafted piece shows a detailed tooled design of a horse head at the handle and a horse hoof at the base. The horse head is decorated with a leather strap bridal that is secured by brass rivet pins and a reddish brown horse hair mane. There are decorative brass rivet pins all along the shaft of the walking stick, which leads down to a horse hoof carved base that is painted red and black. The entire walking stick shows natural wood color and grain with spotted paint colors of red, black, and blue. This cane is in good structural condition overall, and shows some sign of wear to the decorative design and paint due to age. This piece measures approximately 33" in length.
