For your consideration are two hand painted barber back bar bottles from Tombstone, Arizona Territory in the 1880-90s. Barber back bar bottles were decorative bottles, often of high art glass quality, used in barber shops to hold various hair treatments and products. They were a popular item from the 1870s to the late 1910s. These bottles were displayed on the back bar of the shop, hence the name, and were used to hold items like hair tonic, hair oil, bay rum, shampoo, and rosewater. These bottles show a blue color and have been hand painted with floral designs in colors of white/silver and gold. They show good condition overall with little to no wear present despite their age and use over the years. They measure from 3 1/2" L x 3 1/2" W x 8" H to 3 1/4" L x 3 1/4" W x 7 7/8" H. They have a collective weight of 1 pound. Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. TT62
