For your consideration are two early, reproduction photos from The John Gilcrease Collection of Tombstone, Arizona Territory in the early 1880s. These photos are attributed to C.S. Fly, a prominent and well known photographer of the time who was based in Tombstone from 1879 to around the late 1890s. The first photo shows the parade in full swing, with a group of men marching in line and a few to the side playing various instruments. The bottom of the photo is marked reading, "View of Main Street Tombstone Arizona, Decoration Day - No. 1". The second photo was taken from the entrance of Dr. Goodfellow's Office on Fremont Street, Tombstone. City Hall can be seen across the street as a man on a horse drawn wagon strolls by on the street. A man or a woman appears to be sitting on the wood porch, looking down at the ground. A sign above the person reads, "G.E. Goodfellow". Both photos are enclosed in thick paper boards. They show good condition overall with little to no wear present and no signs of damage. The visible photo of the first measures 5 3/4" L x 9 3/8" W, while the entire piece measures 8 5/8" L x 14 5/8" W. The visible photo of the second one measures 6 3/4" L x 8 3/4" W, while the entire piece measures 12 1/2" L x 14 3/4" W. They have a collective weight of 10 ounces.
