Featured in this lot we have a Harrison Crandall hand tinted photograph of the Grand Tetons originating from the early to mid 20th century. Crandall is hailed as the first official photographer for Grand Teton National Park and lived and worked most of his life in the park. He is known for his wonderful black and white or hand tinted pictures of the mountain range and Jackson Hole area. This piece shows the side of Harrison Crandall's snowed in studio located on the way to String Lake in the park with the impressive Teton mountains filling the background. The image has been color tinted and is signed in each of the bottom corners. The right corner is marked "Crandall" with the left side marked "Crandall Grand Teton National Park". The piece is set into a tan frame with a cream colored border around the photo. The piece shows good condition overall with some light rippling on the photo. The frame measures 40 1/4" wide by 19 1/2" tall with the photo measuring 34 3/4" wide by 14 1/4" tall.
