Featured in this lot is this bronze of a doe laying down by Montana artist Harvey Rattey born 1938 and died in 2015. This is bronze of a doe laying down an is mounted on a hardwood shield. Harvey Rattey was a Montana artist, born and raised in Chinook. His love of the West and the ranching lifestyle led to a successful career in art. Together with his wife, they opened a bronze casting foundry in Bozeman. In addition, Rattey was an enrolled member of the Little Shell Band of the Chippewa Tribe. The condition of this bronze sculpture is good with no obvious signs of damage, the bronze is a little loose from the shield but otherwise is in good overall condition. The measurements of this bronze are 3 1/4" x 3 1/2" x 3 5/8".
